Dr. AnnMarie Surdich-Pitra is dedicated to serving your complete eye care needs. Every one of our staff is trained in the latest techniques to serve you. Dr. AnnMarie Surdich-Pitra work closely with you and our staff to diagnose any issues and prepare preventative eye care programs tailored to your specific needs.
Dr. AnnMarie Surdich-Pitra
Dr. Ann is originally from the Southwest Side of Chicago, but grew up in Downers Grove. While attending Montini High School, she worked for a local optometrist and developed a deep passion for eye care and helping people see.
She attended Illinois Benedictine College in Lisle until 1991, when she matriculated into the well respected Illinois College of Optometry. After graduating from The Illinois College of Optometry she entered into private practice.
Dr. Surdich-Pitra's expertise includes contact lenses and Dry Eye Syndrome. She is able to treat all conditions from routine needs to extreme needs - such as a disease related cornea. She also specializes in non-surgical alternatives to refractive surgery and Bifocal/ Multifocal contact lenses.
Dr.Surdich-Pitra is a proud member of the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association since 1991. In 2004 and 2006 Dr. Surdich-Pitra was awarded the Top Optometrist Award by the Consumers' Research Council of America.
Aside from her professional practice, Dr. Surdich-Pitra is also a proud sponsor of Hunters Hope Organization. This organization is very near and dear to her heart and is striving to find a cure for Krabbes Leukodystrophy, a childhood disease that is devastating and often fatal.
